In 1967, at the age of five, John Skarda caught his first speckled trout in Rockport, Texas. He has been hooked on fishing and the beauty captured within them ever since!  John spent alot of time in the Caribbean and being underwater with the sea life opened up a whole new world for him. 

As an artist, he visualizes the beautiful shapes and colors of many types of fish in their natural environment for inspiration for his Psychofish collection.
